Angela Janis, MD,
WPA-PAC Board President

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the PAC!  In its first year, the WPA PAC raised almost $6,000.  Funds were split largely equally between the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee, Republican Assembly Campaign Committee, State Senate Democratic Committee and the Committee to Elect a Republican Senate to allow us to have the greatest impact with these donations.

Now, WPA is looking to start fundraising for the next election cycle. Though the 2020 election may seem far away, the campaign season is starting.  By donating now, we will have funds available for any strategic events or opportunities that arise. Kick-starting a campaign now will also allow us more time to encourage donations, which will build our base and help WPA to have a bigger presence during the next election.

Among the many issues we are monitoring include mental health parity, PA scope expansion, opioid legislation, expansion of the child and adolescent hotline, and many more.  Your donations to the PAC will help us to advocate for the best policies and legislation for our patients and the practice of psychiatry.  To donate today, please visit
