DHS Awards Dementia Crisis Grants

The Department of Health Services has awarded $400,000 to seven counties to improve how they respond to dementia crisis situations.

The grants, which run from July 1 through the end of December next year, will help improve crisis planning, response and stabilization for those with dementia.

It's the second round of grants, which are part of the department's Dementia Care System Redesign.Brown, Dane, Dodge, La Crosse, Milwaukee, Polk and Waukesha Counties received funding.
