The Legislative Mission of the Wisconsin Psychitric Association is to advocate for our patients and our profession
The legislature and government agencies impact significantly on both our professional and patients. Hundreds of laws are introducted each legislative session- some good, some bad. Regulatory agencies promulgate rules to which we are required to adhere.
It is vital that our voices heard and positions known. The WPA seeks to do this through lobbying activites, WPA PAC Contributions and Advocacy. The most effective way to acheieve our goals is for active participation by individual members of the WPA.
