The Legislative Mission of the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association is to advocate for our patients and our profession
The legislature and government agencies impact significantly on both our professional and patients. Hundreds of laws are introducted each legislative session - some good, some bad. Regulatory agencies promulgate rules to which we are required to adhere.
It is vital that our voices are heard and positions known. The WPA seeks to do this through lobbying activites. The most effective way to achieve our goals is through active participation by individual members of the WPA.
