Justin Schoen, MD, FAPA; WPA President

It is deer season in Wisconsin, and the hunters are enjoying their days in the beautiful forests... Meanwhile, now that the mid-term elections are over, we can begin to work with a new set of legislators and further develop our political presence.  This goal of WPA's was further bolstered by the development of the PAC.  Our quarterly Executive Council meeting takes place next week and we will be identifying our legislative priorities for the next two years... stay tuned.

It is hard to believe that this will be my second-to-last Executive Council meeting as President. My final meeting will occur in conjunction with our annual meeting in March.  The conference theme is Borderline Personality Disorder and we have a great lineup in store; I hope to see many of you there, March 14-16 in Elkhart Lake.

Prior to March, I hope to continue my road trips to meet with more trainees -- although the roads are becoming a bit more difficult to travel on during this time of the year.  I have to have a little fun and say in my most ominous voice, “winter is coming!”

I hope you are all well. Thanks for your continued membership!
